Nicolas Giusti


Nicolas Giusti, Conductor, Composer and vocal coach studied conducting with maestro Gianandrea Gavazzeni and Peter Maag. As opera repertoire conductor (and vocal coach), he was Antonio Tonini’s (maestro Arturo Toscanini collaborator of the Teatro alla Scala in Milano for 30 years) assistant for seven years.

He worked with many international singers such as: June Anderson, Cecilia Bartoli, Franco Bonisolli, Mariella Devia, Placido Domingo, Leo Nucci, Luciano Pavarotti, Katya Ricciarelli, Giuseppe Taddei and with other great personalities (directors, producers, musicologists, scholars) such as Armin Jordan, Gian Carlo Menotti, Franco Zeffirelli, Alberto Zedda and many others.

He worked in many Opera houses such as Colyseum Opera House of Oporto (Portugal), State Opera House of Izmir (Turkey), Avences Opera Festival (Switzerland), Montecarlo Opera House (France), Spoleto Festiva Opera House (Italy), Rossini Opera Festival (Italy), Arena Loreley Opera (Germany), Irun Opera House (Spain), Aix-les-bains Opera House (France), Cannes Opera Festival (France), Opera Idaho (USA), Winter Opera St. Louis (USA), Barn Opera (Vermont, USA), Opera Orlando (USA), and many others.

In May 2019, Deseret Book will release a CD entitled “Piano duets of Gérald Caussé & Nicolas Giusti”. An album with original arrangements by Nicolas Giusti performed with LDS Bishop Presiding, Gérald Caussé.
