SCHOOL KIDS WATCH TOY STORY AT THE UTAH THEATRE

Published: Friday, February 24, 2017

Woodruff Elementary 3rd and 4th graders were treated to the movie Toy Story at the Utah Theatre Wednesday, February 22. Watching a movie in the middle of the school day served as a reward for students who achieved their reading goals. So far this year, Ellis and Woodruff Elementary schools have taken advantage of the new program offered by Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre.

To find out how your school can participate, call Gary Griffin at 435-750-0300 ext 114.

Under the direction of Michael Ballam, the Utah Festival supports a variety of education initiatives and programs. The Utah Theatre serves as the headquarters of Utah Festival Academy, Opera by Children, Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards, and the Utah Festival Conservatory of the Performing Arts – all education programs that benefit youth both locally and statewide.
